Brigitte Bagg
Career Development Practitioner

Bridging the gap from where you are now, to where you want to be.

Based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, I support clients to make informed decisions, helping them succeed in their career. I have a NZ Diploma in Career Development and professionally, I work to CDANZ (Career Development Association of New Zealand) Code of Ethics & am licensed to administer Career Smart and Career Intelligence self-assessment tools.

I moved to Aotearoa New Zealand, as a young adult with the equivalent of a NZ Bachelor of Nursing qualification. Over my 20+ working years, I have navigated a number of career changes, starting in health, then community work, fitness and now career consulting. Additionally, supporting my young adult sons in the current complex world of work and study. Journeying with them is proving pivotal in reshaping my understanding of the many challenges faced by youth and adults.

My career experiences range from being an immigrant, stay-at-home parent, transitioning back into work, freelancing, job seeking, studying as a mature student and starting a business. I have also struggled with employment issues, seeking the support of a Career Specialist. This investment in myself was invaluable and confirmed the benefits and value of career consulting.

Looking back, my career theme has been about inspiring and facilitating health and wellbeing for mind, body and spirit. I enjoy building new relationships and encouraging individuals to have agency to thrive. I also enjoy being home, creating, cooking, gardening and having deep and meaningful kōrero, talks. I value trust, respect, belonging and open, clear communication. My skills show up in my ability to listen and to relate across cultures while inspiring, encouraging and empowering individuals and whānau to reach their goals. I am highly motivated by seeing people achieve their full career potential and live wholeheartedly.

I am a product of my journey, which is made up of years of serving individuals and whānau across diverse backgrounds. I believe my clients will benefit from my rich experiences, practical skills and innate strengths.

So here I am, ready, able and willing to BRIDGE the gap from where you are now, to where you would like to be.

I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
